Almost all of the country’s top yarn exporters like Badshah and Ha-Meem are doing good business. In the last two and a half years from the beginning of 2019 to July 2021, such a picture has emerged in the analysis of the statistics of the institutions. The epidemic caused by the coronavirus has been going on for more than a year and a half. According to the Bangladesh Textile Mills Association (BTMA), the owners of the yarn mills were adversely affected at one stage of the onset of the Covid outbreak in 2020. However, in the middle of this year, the big export-oriented industrialists are signaling a positive change in the pace of business.

FabricConcerned parties say The big industrial entrepreneurs of the business have been able to deal with the Covid situation by trying to survive in the disaster mainly due to their business ability. In this case, the big industrialists have shown skills in overall management including procurement strategy, cost reduction, inventory management, and accuracy of the production plan. Besides, additional demand has been created in the international market during the Covid period. As a result, the purchase order is increasing. Again, the effect of the rise in the price of raw materials is also seen in the value of the exported goods. All in all, the liquidity of the yarn-cloth mill owners’ business is now quite good. In terms of financial viability, this is more reflected in the export statistics of large corporations.

Badsha Textile and Kamal Yarn Director Badsha mia told the press There have been many losses in the first seven-eight months of the Covid period. Cotton prices fall in March-April. Gradually all the stocks of the factory run out. Additional demand has been created in the market after the second flow of Covid. Again, the price of cotton, the main raw material, has gone up in the international market. Overall demand is playing a big role behind the current good of the business as a whole.
