On 29 December 2016 Dhaka University Alumni Association Executive Committee had eighth meeting was held on the ceremony of Mr. Xu Lan, Vice President, SMARTEC & Mr. Md. Jakir Hossain (Milton), Managing Director, AD TEX SOLUTION, granted 20,00,000 (twenty lac) Tk. cheque of donation to Dhaka University Alumni Association. The Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University & the main sponsor of the Alumni Association, Professor D. A A M S Arefin Siddique and A. K. Azad, President of the Association, Alhaj Advocate Mullah Mohammad Abu Kawsar, Senior Vice-President, Secretary General Ranjan Karmakar received cheque of donation and respected members of the executive committee. That Program was really very aristocratic and devout mitual together. The DUAA arranged about 400 scholarships every year covering all 56 departments and 16 institutes through collecting donations from individuals, alumni and organizations from home and abroad.
